Job Summary
Statistician in BWXT’s quality department applying statistical methods to real-world manufacturing and quality assurance. Responsibilities include performing statistical evaluations (regression, mixed models, SPC), qualifying measurement systems (gage R&R, process capability), documenting statistical justifications for requirements, developing SAS programs to enable analyses, and supporting problem solving and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. Strong communication, independent and collaborative work, and the ability to select appropriate analyses are required. On-site position in Lynchburg, VA, with salary range $66k-$101k and DOE considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics is required
- Two or more years of statistical experience is required
- Experience with SAS Statistical Software is required: Basic DATA step processing, reporting, the macro facility, and analysis procedures such as MEANS, UNIVARIATE, and GLM.

- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE clearance
