Job Summary
The High-Pressure Boiler Operator is responsible for the operation and preventative maintenance of stationary boilers and associated mechanical equipment, ensuring a continuous supply of steam for heating, sterilizing, and humidification. Key responsibilities include operating boilers, performing inspections and repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and managing chemical treatments for water systems. Candidates must have a High School Diploma, relevant licensing, and 3-5 years of related experience in boiler operation. This role requires the ability to work various shifts to maintain 24/7 coverage and a collaborative approach to teamwork and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Underground Storage Tank Operator Training Class B Operator designation recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia within 60 days of hire
- Three to five years’ experience working as a Boiler plant operator, attendant or equivalent role
- Driver's License: Yes
- Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21 years old to drive an Augusta Health Vehicle
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management
