Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and repair all heating, ventilating, boilers, pumps, compressors, electrical motors, elevators, and building automation systems at The Moscone Center. Manage water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, kitchen equipment, and energy/life safety systems while performing carpentry, locksmith, and general maintenance duties. Requires five years of experience in large commercial facilities, completion of an approved apprenticeship, and membership in Stationary Engineers Local 39. This on-site role involves a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, with 24-hour emergency call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of approved apprenticeship program
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum five years experience in the operation of a large public assembly, hotel, hospital or other commercial facility
- Member in good standing of Stationary Engineers Local 39
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Must have solid knowledge of all phases of building, equipment, operations and maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and construction specifications
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- This position requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Will be subject to call 24 hours in case of emergency
