Job Summary

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, urgent, corrective, and routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, and H.V.A.C. equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing system malfunctions, interpreting technical instructions, and performing all assigned duties with minimal supervision. The candidate must have the ability to read blueprints, maintain detailed records of repairs, and manage in-house projects. A high school diploma, a current City of Chicago Stationary Engineer license, and relevant experience in boiler systems and HVAC operations are required. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and be able to work effectively with various electrical metering devices.

Required Qualifications

  • High School required
  • Current City of Chicago Stationary Engineer license required

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 Years of experience in operation of high pressure boiler system and basic HVAC equipment preferred
  • 1 Year of electrical and mechanical equipment and exposure to critical and essential
  • 1 Year Prior experience with computer operations and programming helpful
