Job Summary
The Stationary Engineer operates and maintains stationary engines and mechanical equipment including steam engines, air compressors, turbines, steam boilers, and chillers. Responsibilities include monitoring pressure and temperature indicators, maintaining equipment records, adjusting controls, conducting inspections, and performing maintenance tasks such as oiling, lubricating, and overhauling pumps. The role requires a focus on safety standards and good housekeeping practices, along with effective troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic boiler controls. Candidates should possess a High School diploma, a State of Illinois Stationary Engineer license, and at least 2 years of HVAC experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must have a State of Illinois Stationary Engineer license
- 2 or more years of related experience with HVAC equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license

- EPA Universal Certification license
