Job Summary
Monitor, maintain, and repair the campus boiler system and associated plant equipment to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient operation. Perform preventive maintenance on main steam boilers, plant chillers, and related systems, while analyzing and treating water for boiler efficiency. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and respond to service and emergency calls regarding facility issues such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Manage medical gas systems and pneumatic tube systems throughout the hospital. Demonstrate personal accountability for knowledge and application of DOH, Joint Commission, and ICRA requirements. Read blueprints and electrical schematics to complete assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Valid Stationary Engineer License for location of work
- Prior experience with water tube boilers and associated equipment including maintenance, repairs, chemical water analysis, and water treatment
- Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Available to work off shifts
