Job Summary
Monitor and inspect boiler equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters. Maintain water, chemical, and fuel levels in boilers, adjust combustion air, and control fuel flow. Fire gas- or oil-fed boilers using automatic feeds or pumps. Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on appliances and electronics. Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results and instrument readings. Report serious maintenance problems, accidents, or safety hazards to the manager. Conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant and assist local authorities with emergency situations. Complete safety training and certifications while adhering to all company policies. Move, lift, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds, navigate confined spaces, and climb ladders. Anticipate and address guests' service needs and assist individuals with disabilities. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and identify ways to increase organizational efficiency and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License
- Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience
