Job Summary
Manage chemical analysis tests and adjust chemical balances in boilers, cooling towers, and closed loop systems. Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, assist in repairs, and conduct safety checks across the Power Plant and mechanical rooms. Properly dispose of chemical drums, clean and paint equipment and piping, and respond swiftly to plant emergencies by operating firefighting equipment. Adhere to OSHA safety policies, infection control procedures, and departmental safety standards while maintaining orderly workspaces. Full-time night shift with 40 hours weekly; schedules released one month in advance. Low Pressure Steam Certification required within 12 months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in maintenance field
- 2 years of experience as an operating engineer or in a related field
- Strong background in HVAC
- Strong background in Mechanics
- Prior experience with operating boilers
- Prior experience with generators
- Prior experience with conducting mechanical maintenance
- military experience
- Obtain Low Pressure Steam Certification within 12 months of hire
- Full-time Night Shift
- 40 hours weekly
