Job Summary
Station Manager leads local freight forwarding operations with P&L ownership, driving efficiency, cost reduction, and profitability. Responsibilities include strategic planning, KPI development and monitoring, operations oversight, and local market business development for all products. Key duties cover policy implementation, reporting, performance analysis, client relationship management, and leadership of managers/supervisors. Ideal candidate has freight forwarding leadership with international air/ocean operations, strong customer relationships, and a track record of revenue growth. Requires multiple certifications and a Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 5+ years in a management-equivalent role with senior stakeholder interaction.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in equivalent position
- 3 years dynamic and client-facing business development executive
- Ability to acquire TSA certification
- Ability to manage P&L and margin management
- Freight forwarding leadership experience (international air/ocean)
- 3PL/Warehousing/Logistics experience
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business or related field preferred
- ITAR Certification (preferred)
- Transportation and Warehouse Dangerous Goods Certification (preferred)
