Job Summary
Static Equipment Engineer role involving thermal-hydraulic and mechanical design evaluations of heat exchangers (including reboilers and condensers), troubleshooting performance issues, reviewing vendor designs, and applying pressure vessel design principles to support reliable operation. Responsibilities include performing thermal-hydraulic design calculations, mechanical design reviews for standards compliance, troubleshooting leakage and performance problems, monitoring exchanger performance, evaluating vendor design packages, and designing reboilers and condensers for various process applications, with ~10% travel to sites or vendor fabrication shops.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with relevant 3 years of experience in Thermal and mechanical design of Heat exchanger.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical responsible roles in Heat transfer Engineering/surveillance/inspection activities in Oil and Gas Industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical responsible roles in Heat transfer.
- Proven experience in design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of heat exchanger types (Shell and Tube, Air-Cooled, Plate-Type).
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes such as TEMA, API 660/661, ASME Section VIII Div 1 & 2.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools including HTRI, ASPEN EDR, Pro-II, HYSYS, PV-Elite.
