Job Summary
Teach Accounting Information Systems, Financial, and Managerial Accounting courses to post-traditional students across BS, MS, MBA, and DBA programs using in-person, online, and hybrid modalities. Develop curriculum and contribute to student learning assessments at program, college, and institutional levels. Engage in scholarly activity, research, and service to the department, college, and community while advising students on academic and career guidance. Demonstrate commitment to equitable outcomes for a diverse student body through culturally responsive pedagogy.
Required Qualifications
- A completed terminal degree (Ph.D or DBA) from a regionally accredited institution in accounting or a related field (.MIS or Finance)
- Demonstrated ability to teach and design curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels in accounting information systems and financial or managerial accounting
- Demonstrated success in teaching and professional service activities
- A plan for scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research in the specified discipline(s), or related disciplines
- Effective Communication skills (written & verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an institution with a culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse workforce and student population
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work collegially with faculty and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Candidate must live or be willing to relocate to Minnesota and teach face-to-face courses
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness or professional experience with data analytics
- Professional experience working with accounting information systems, ERP systems, artificial intelligence and accounting productivity tools
- A professional certificate in Accountancy, such as CPA, CMA, or CIA
- Demonstrated contributions to the assessment of student learning at a post-secondary institution
- Professional development and/or expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, anti-racist pedagogy, and/or universal design
- Experience as an academic advisor for students at a post-secondary institution
