Job Summary
Metro State University seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Management for a full-time position within the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources. Responsibilities include teaching management courses at the undergraduate level, engaging in scholarly research, contributing to student growth, and demonstrating a commitment to serving a diverse student body. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in management or a related field, with experience and excellence in university-level teaching and scholarly work. Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in management, or closely related field
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in teaching management-related courses at the university level
- Record of active involvement and excellence in scholarly work
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community
- Excellent reputation working with students
Desired Qualifications
- Completed doctoral degree from an accredited institution
- Specialization in Strategy, Management, Organizational Behaviors, or a closely related field is preferred
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience (or a minimum of 5 university-level sections) of management courses at the university level
- Evidence of effective teaching in multiple areas of management
- Outstanding research or scholarly accomplishments
- Experience delivering courses in multiple formats including face-to-face, hybrid/blended, and fully online
- Experience with assessment/accreditation
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must live or be willing to relocate to Minnesota and teach face-to-face courses
