Job Summary
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) provides essential resident care in a healthcare/long-term care or assisted living facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene), aiding mobility and transfers, assisting with meals and monitoring intake, measuring vitals, monitoring skin and weight, documenting care in the facility’s EHR, maintaining safety and infection control, offering emotional support, promoting dignity and independence, and collaborating with nursing staff and other professionals to develop and follow individualized care plans. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic medical terminology are valued. Certifications and education are required as stated. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Previous healthcare/long-term care or assisted living experience preferred but not required (new graduates welcome)
