Job Summary
Provide hygiene assistance and support residents with feeding and daily living needs. Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse while observing and reporting residents' psycho-social and emotional needs. Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents' conditions and maintain a clean, neat personal appearance. Use nursing home equipment properly and safely, following OSHA guidelines for chemicals. Attend required in-service training and assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing. This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and manage interpersonal conflicts effectively. Located at The Avenue at Aurora, a post-hospital rehabilitation facility offering hotel-like suites and all-private rooms.
Required Qualifications
- Must have successfully completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within two months of hire
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling
- Use of both hands and arms
- Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
