Job Summary
Conduct major and routine maintenance, service, repair, and installations on all heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment and controls. Perform diagnostic system checks, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and operate steam boilers and pressure vessels. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance, calibrate controls, and respond to alarms while understanding Building Automation Systems. Operate machine shop tools to braze or solder items for equipment fabrication and repair. Complete all required documentation, including work orders, faulty equipment reports, parts requirements, and manhour reports in the computerized maintenance management system. Perform on-call duties and support other trades as assigned. Maintain awareness of system locations and areas served, ensuring safe passage in public work areas.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience
- 2-year Military, Vocational or apprentice training in HVAC
- Journeyman HVAC license
- Experience in commercial HVAC
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Must have required basic hand tools
- Must understand Lock out Tag out Procedures
- Basic knowledge of CMMS and BAS
