Job Summary
Phlebotomist travels to Long-Term Care Facilities and patient homes to collect and process specimens, floats between long-term care facilities and patient homes to provide phlebotomy skills and specimen processing at each site as needed. Performs venipunctures and capillary punctures, ensures proper labeling and identification, maintains specimen integrity for transport, adheres to safety and regulatory policies, and collaborates with team to meet department objectives. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months phlebotomy experience, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between facilities in Columbus, OH. Work schedule is full-time (approximately 40 hours/week), 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Compensation starts at $23.00 per hour plus mileage; benefits package available.
Required Qualifications
- Must be high school graduate or equivalent
- Phlebotomy experience 6 months experience (as phlebotomist or role with at least 75% phlebotomy)
- Experience working in long-term care setting is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation for driving to each facility
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must maintain and show proof of liability automotive insurance
