Job Summary
Startup and Commissioning Technician responsible for equipment startup and building commissioning processes and documentation across commercial HVAC systems; collaborate with Project Managers on coordination of equipment start-up and commissioning, work closely with Control subs and equipment vendors during startup and commissioning; manage commissioning deficiency logs; review Pre-Functional Checks and Functional Performance Tests; diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, and performance through observation, testing, and setup; perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on HVAC and plumbing equipment; operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment; follow construction plans and specifications for proper installation and repair; must be able to pass a drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license; communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Stable work history showing responsibility and professional growth
- Ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and the customer
- Prior experience with building automation systems (BacNET, Low Voltage Wiring, Control Valves, etc..)
- Prior HVAC Technician experience
- Experience with laser pump alignments, Air Handlers, Fans, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Dx Split, VRF etc.. working on equipment commonly found in commercial building applications.
