Job Summary
Manage the flow of play on the golf course by assisting members and guests in finding appropriate games, offering etiquette suggestions, and enforcing club rules with a polite demeanor. Address violations, locate lost balls, provide rides, and repair ball marks or fill divots while maintaining course cleanliness and restocking supplies. Ensure orderly play by adhering to tee times and regulations, minimizing delays during peak hours, and coordinating with staff to report incidents. Keep members informed about shop offerings and upcoming events while maintaining a sufficient supply of scorecards and tees. Ensure timely presence on the course according to the schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior experience in a similar role or extensive knowledge of golf
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff
- Excellent knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service
- High attention to detail and reliability
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb/ladders, squat/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing
- Ability to lift Golf Clubs & Bag 40 - 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift Merchandise 5 - 30 lbs.
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines
- Ability to take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role
