Job Summary
Build small electrical sub-assemblies, assemble PCBs into product chassis, and construct battery cell modules, solar modules, and solar arrays. Perform wire harnessing, soldering, and de-soldering, then conduct functional testing of built hardware including setup, instrumentation, execution, and teardown. Operate complex automated equipment while troubleshooting and maintaining systems. Support prototype development by identifying, installing, and implementing test equipment and data acquisition systems. Execute test setups across thermal, shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration regimes. Work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of hands on work experience
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching
- Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing company, a precision manufacturing company, or high-volume manufacturing company
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
- Able to proficiently use a PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with electrical wiring
- Experience setting up and running tests and experiments
- Associate degree
