Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging travelers with positive interactions, operating the POS system to process payments, and following all cash handling policies. Prepare and serve quality food while ensuring proper food safety procedures, including temperature checks and labeling. Complete kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, and packaging, then stock, clean, and sanitize workstations and equipment. Actively cross-sell products and maintain knowledge of available services at the travel plaza. Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
