Job Summary
Deliver guest experience commitments by ensuring all team members understand and consistently execute Target's guest experience standards. Plan and execute daily and weekly workloads to support business priorities, including food service transitions, sales plans, and promotional signing. Assign tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns while reviewing area metrics to identify and act on improvement opportunities. Assess back-of-house production, dining, and merchandising spaces to ensure food safety, proper inventory levels, and adherence to Starbucks and Pizza Hut brand standards. Lead a team of hourly members through interviewing, training, coaching, and performance evaluations while maintaining a culture of ethical conduct and safety. Monitor temperature-sensitive items, follow cleaning routines, and validate team progress against department checklists. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes, establish clear goals, and hold team members accountable to expectations. Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty responsibilities to enable the guest experience during assigned shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business
- Lead and hold others accountable
- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
- Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
Desired Qualifications
- In addition to Food Safety Manager Certification, complete all Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut training requirements and certifications
