Job Summary
Run daily store operations, manage play-calling during high- and low-volume periods, and lead the coffeehouse team while handling cash drawers, counting tills, and executing secure opening or closing procedures. Model legendary service, anticipate customer needs, resolve escalated complaints, and coach baristas through new partner training. Maintain cleanliness, food safety, inventory control, and equipment standards. Requires prior customer service, cash handling, and leadership experience; ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds. This role serves as the vital link between baristas and store management at the Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard.
Required Qualifications
- Prior customer service, cash handling, and leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or food-service environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to converse easily with the public and provide constructive coaching to team members
- Ability to manage stress and keep a calm demeanor during unexpected rushes or unusual events
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds
