Job Summary
Communicate and enforce Starbucks, Giant Eagle, and Market District policies, store standards, and procedures. Lead the team by example to deliver outstanding customer service while overseeing product assortment, stocking, receiving, and inventory management. Direct team members in all duties, evaluate training for new and current staff, and maintain safety and cleanliness as top priorities. Monitor ordering, reduce shrink, and promote diversity, inclusion, and respect. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires 6–12 months of restaurant or barista experience, a high school diploma, and food safety certification.
Required Qualifications
- Desire to become a Non-union Team Leader
- Food Safety certification or license
- At least 18 years of age
- Be able to work a flexible schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays
- Maintain safety as the top priority for our Team Members, guests and products
- Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines
- Actively participate in, and promote, an environment which embraces diversity, inclusion and respect for Team Members, guests, vendors and the community
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in Restaurant/Barista or related field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge, interest and passion for Starbucks beverages and products
- Show your love of coffee through words and actions
- Take an active role in building the store's product assortment by cultivating strong working relationships with guests and vendors
- Deliver outstanding customer service by leading the team by example, constantly striving to delight and surprise our guests, vendors and stakeholders
- Direct Team Members in performing all duties
- Oversee and evaluate all training of new and current Team Members
- Help reduce and eliminate shrink
- Maintain cleanliness of department and work area
