Job Summary
Lead daily café operations for the licensed Starbucks location inside Macy's, ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and brand standards while modeling customer connection behaviors. Coach and develop team members through ongoing feedback to maximize performance and professional growth. Manage inventory, ordering, and point-of-sale systems to maintain stock levels, control expenses, and achieve profit goals. Oversee cash handling and resolve customer concerns directly, maintaining a clean, professional environment that meets all regulatory requirements. Full-time colleagues work 30+ hours weekly with weekend shifts, while part-time roles range from 12-24 hours. ServSafe certification is required, and the role involves physical demands including lifting up to 30 lbs and working in a stationary position for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be ServSafe certified or have food handler permit as required by state or local health department
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs
- This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands
- Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours
- Lifting at least 30 lbs
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- May involve reaching above eye level
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements
Desired Qualifications
