Job Summary
Barista at Macy’s Starbucks in San Francisco Union Square – supports Starbucks beverage preparation per standards, delivers caring hospitality and strong customer service, and engages customers with product knowledge. Responsibilities include operating drip coffee, espresso bar, cold beverages and pastry stations; maintaining the work area and equipment per Health Department standards; following Starbucks Service Steps and selling skills; educating and serving food/beverage products; handling opening/closing duties with managerial verification; managing stock levels and presentation; preparing fresh products per recipes while meeting speed of service; adhering to merchandising and signage standards; maintaining personal hygiene and professional dress; and performing other duties as needed. The role requires 1-2 years of related experience preferred and a flexible schedule including weekends; physical ability for standing, lifting up to 25lbs, and frequent computer/POS use. This is a part-time position with schedules including weekend shifts and varying hours per business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
