Job Summary
Provide prompt, friendly customer service and create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by preparing and serving a wide variety of coffee and tea beverages and food items, adhering to recipe and presentation standards, operating the POS system, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Engage customers with product information, use suggestive selling techniques, ensure orders are accurate and completed in a timely manner, rotate products for quality and safety, and uphold Food City and Starbucks values while working on-site during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products
- Learn the ingredients that go into various products
- Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
