Job Summary
Manage the Starbucks department and associates to maximize sales and profitability by controlling product loss, enforcing safety policies, and maintaining strict inventory levels. Lead the team in daily operations, including preparing products, processing transactions, merchandising displays, and executing marketing programs. Delegate workload fairly, recruit new Bakery/Deli associates, and conduct training while ensuring all company standards and health regulations are followed. Complete weekly projections, prepare performance reviews, and communicate regularly with the Store Manager to address staffing needs and resolve customer complaints.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Three to five years' experience in retail and/or Starbucks operations
- operating as an assistant Starbucks manager for at least one year
- Completion of Starbucks All Store Training program
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks
- Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts
- Knowledge of how to mix various Starbucks coffee and tea products
- Knowledge of the ingredients that go into various products
- Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils
