Job Summary
STAR Kids Policy Analyst within HHSC's STAR Kids program focuses on advanced policy planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of Medicaid/CHIP policies. Responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and interpret policy, overseeing operational policy and contract requirements, ensuring compliance, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and producing high-quality written reports and policy documents. KSAs emphasize knowledge of federal/state Medicaid/CHIP laws, government administration, policy analysis and project management, ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role offers the opportunity to impact thousands of Medicaid clients and engage with federal partners, providers, advocates, MCOs, and other healthcare stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
