Job Summary
As a Standardized Patient (SP), you will engage in a simulated clinical environment by taking on the characteristics of a real patient. You will memorize and present case scripts, interact with students, and provide constructive feedback based on student performance. The role requires effective communication, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and flexible on-call availability. Responsibilities also include participating in training and mentorship of entry-level standardized patients, and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to accurately and convincingly maintain a specified character as trained.
- Ability to work flexible hours on a scheduled on-call basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to recall case information, as cued by students in a role-play situation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of case and student information.
- Ability to understand and follow directions and incorporate trainer feedback.
- Ability to recall and accurately score student behaviors.
