Standardized Patient

Portray a patient, family member, or healthcare team member in a realistic simulated environment to assist in education and assessment of learners. Memorize case scripts detailing chief complaints, symptoms, emotions, and behaviors, then remain in character during student history taking and examinations while demonstrating improvisational skills. Undergo basic physical examinations in simulated encounters and provide educationally constructive verbal feedback within a structured format. Maintain confidentiality of case information and student behaviors. Participate in group trainings as needed. This per diem role is onsite at the Center for Healthcare Education with a variable shift schedule.
