Job Summary
Define and execute management, development, and standardization of standard components such as bolts, nuts, and plastic clips across multiple vehicle programs. Perform technical assessments for standard part development and evaluate solutions for manufacturability, feasibility, and risks during trial phases. Lead a team of Standard Parts Engineers and oversee Design Change Request and Engineering Change Request processes to minimize cost impacts and manufacturing disruptions. Partner with Global Purchasing to drive Value Analysis initiatives and resolve technical disputes with tier-1 suppliers during Start of Production phases. Establish and continuously improve standard part management processes and related technical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Materials Engineering, Automation, or related technical fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, related to mechanical design and mechanical integration, with experience in a leadership/managerial role leading mechanical/component design or standardization teams.
- Strong technical mindset with good analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to build a long-term career in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
- Good command of English.
