Job Summary
Weld, fabricate and assemble metal structures, equipment, and misc. projects using welding machines, cutting machines, rollers and press brakes to produce metal parts and assemblies per customer or employer specifications either in the field or in the shop, with attention to safety and quality. Responsibilities include welding and cutting functions, reading blueprints, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Compensation through $20-25/hour with first shift hours; local travel and potential overtime evenings/weekends. Essential functions and duties include maintaining safety procedures, organizing work areas, and reporting issues to foreman/plant manager. Qualifications emphasize blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with stainless TIG welding (304/310/316), MIG welding, and AWS standards; familiarity with press brakes, saws, and other fabrication tools. The role requires capability to work both in shop and field settings, strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a valid driving record. Required Qualifications
- Functional use of press brake, shear, Iron Worker, rolling machines & saws
- Blueprint reading capability
- Experience taking something from concept to drawing to completion
- Overall mechanically inclined
- Ability to measure and differentiate types of materials
- Mastery of 304, 310 & 316 Stainless Steel TIG welding
- Working knowledge of MIG welding
- Create welds that meet AWS standards
- Clean surrounding areas of any weld splatter
- Ensure no porosity or defects in welds
- Working knowledge of handheld torch and plasma cutting
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Able to work in the shop or in the field as required
- Technical and mechanical capacity is a must
- Thoroughness and Pride in workmanship required
- Clean driving record
