Job Summary
Prep work weldments from engineering drawings using band saws, drill presses, hand grinders, and TIG welding stainless steel. Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, and covers while operating the TIG welder, drill press, and band saw. Control raw material inventory with shop routers and computers, group parts per BOM, and follow SOPs and OPLs. Cut materials per drawings and weld sub-assemblies. This 2nd shift role requires press brake and sheet metal experience, a Level 1 Weld Test, and ability to work in a high-paced environment with overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass Level 1 Weld Test
- Press brake experience
- Sheet metal experience
- Ability to read and understand weld symbols
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to efficiently use hand grinders and air tools
- Foundational understanding of polishing techniques
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements
- Able to follow written and oral instruction
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
- Safety awareness
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in multiple positions
- Ability to work overtime
- Able to pass drug testing
