Job Summary
Read and interpret part prints to determine specific welding requirements for stainless steel components. Prepare and fabricate parts using saws, drills, mills, and grinders, then setup welding machines per Welding Procedure Specifications. Operate MIG and TIG welders to complete welded assemblies while maintaining work areas to 55 standards and following all safety and quality protocols. Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and assist in other business areas as needed. This role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in a warehouse environment. Candidates must be able to lift 50-70 lbs, work with heavy equipment, and tolerate loud, fast-paced conditions. Experience with TIG and MIG welding of stainless steels is preferred, along with AWS D 1.6 and D1.3 qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and training
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Ability to operate forklift, Aerial platform and overhead crane
- Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
- Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
- Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
- Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking
- Work with heavy and technical equipment, lift 50 - 70 lbs, go up heights on ladder
- Tolerate vibrating tools and louder than normal work environment at times
- Frequently stand and walk for the majority of each shift
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with TIG & MIG welding of stainless steels preferred
- Ability to pass and operate within AWS D 1.6 and D1.3 Qualifications
- Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office
