Job Summary
Grind, blend, and polish stainless steel to a consistent No. 4 sanitary finish, preparing welded seams and correcting imperfections to meet food-grade standards. Safely operate grinders, sanders, and polishing tools while inspecting surfaces, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring crevice-free requirements. Follow fabrication instructions and maintain tools, adhering to all safety procedures and PPE protocols including steel-toe boots. Work independently with steady hours from 6:00am to 4:30pm on a four-day week, lifting up to 50 lbs. Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify precision.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years stainless‐steel grinding/polishing experience (preferred)
- Ability to produce a true No. 4 finish consistently
- Experience blending welded seams to sanitary standards
- Strong attention to detail & ability to work independently
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
- Understanding of PPE & shop safety
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers & gauges
