Job Summary
The position involves an internship focused on developing a thesis on high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations utilizing HPC infrastructure. The research aims to assess the numerical prediction capabilities of GPU-accelerated codes for simulating wing-body junctions in the transonic regime. Candidates should possess skills in parallel computing, numerical analysis, and proficiency in major CFD software, with a strong focus on programming languages C++ and Python. The role requires advanced English proficiency and includes opportunities for brief national travel.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in the last year of a Master's Degree in STEM disciplines
- Interest in engineering and computing
Desired Qualifications
- Basic/intermediate knowledge about parallel computing and numerical analysis
- Proficiency in at least one major HPC CFD software package, preferably open-source
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
