Job Summary
Manage employees in a unionized environment by working closely with the supervisor to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, assign tasks, and act as a resource person for the department while applying collective agreement rules. Serve as an agent of prevention and compliance with occupational health and safety rules. Deploy strategies to reduce non-quality and lead projects covering layout, health and safety, environment, and productivity to drive continuous departmental improvement. This winter internship runs from January 5 to April 23, 2027, with a Monday to Friday on-site schedule from 6:30 to 15:00. Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian university and possess basic office software skills.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship
- Ability to work on-site in the province where hired
- Currently pursuing studies in Engineering, Human Resources (HR), or Operations and Production Management (OPM)
- Mastery of basic office software (mainly: Excel, Outlook, One Note)
- Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terms
- Ability to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues
- Completion of a criminal background check
- Obtaining all necessary clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
