Job Summary
Staff Scheduler responsibilities include creating and posting monthly staff schedules, tracking attendance, monitoring lateness and absences, minimizing overtime, and providing reports to management related to productive and non-productive hours. Works with HR to maintain current staff contact information and ensure attendance procedures are followed. Posts and fills open shifts, tracks call-offs, coordinates with HR on attendance policies, notifies HR of leave-of-absence issues, monitors agency use to stay within budget, and prepares daily or periodic staffing reports for DON, Facility Administrator, and management. Coordinates orientation for new hires, schedules agency staff as a last resort to meet coverage, and assists staff in acclimating to facility policies and routines. Requires high school diploma or GED (preferred), computer knowledge, prior scheduler experience, and experience in a long-term care setting; strong communication and independent as well as team-working abilities.

- Computer knowledge required
- Previous scheduler experience is required
- Experience in a long-term care setting required
- Ability to work independently or part of a group
