Job Summary
Oversee scheduling responsibilities for the nursing department by state and federal regulations to ensure optimal staffing levels and resident needs are met. Work with Human Resources to determine personnel numbers and make recommendations, while planning, developing, and posting monthly staff schedules at least two weeks in advance. Receive call-ins, cover positions as needed, and print daily schedules from On-shift to assign staff to neighborhoods. Manage attendance by checking punches, approving overtime, and inputting absences, leave earlies, tardies, and PTO into the computer system. Document employee status changes to notify Payroll and Human Resources, assist in the interviewing process, and serve on facility committees. Field complaints to nursing leadership, assist with scanning medical records, and monitor worker's compensation claims by completing investigation reports and tracking missed or alternate duty hours.
