Job Summary
Staffing Coordinator role supporting nursing management with day-to-day staffing coordination for patient care areas. Responsible for identifying daily staffing needs, entering hires into scheduling systems, updating schedules, generating staffing reports, and communicating changes to charge nurses. Performs payroll data entry and related timekeeping tasks, validates attendance, and distributes productivity and overtime reports. Provides training on the automated scheduling system to nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and administrative staff, and maintains professional relationships across departments to ensure staffing goals and budget targets are met. This non-exempt, part-time position may include a signing bonus eligibility and involves involvement in daily bed huddles and patient flow discussions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong follow up skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
- Knowledge of automated scheduling systems
- Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English
