Job Summary
Ensure records are up to date and maintained according to regulatory guidelines while maintaining workspace organization and electronic record storage. Collaborate with Clinical Administrative Supervisors to plan and adjust staffing, facilitating huddles and communicating with Nurse Leads to optimize unit capacity. Adjust Kronos daily to reflect accuracy in unit assignments and sick calls, manage registry requests, and complete forecasts and staffing reports. Review and respond to all written and verbal communication, arriving at huddles with prepared information and distributing assignments by 1730. Complete facility-wide scheduling and timekeeping as needed, adhering to KNOWN standards and professional conduct throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Associate's degree
- Degree in a related field
- 1 year Experience as a staffing specialist/clerk in an acute hospital setting
- 2 years Experience in related field
- Experience with computerized scheduling and general office procedures
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to utilize effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and to work independently
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to effectively multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
