Job Summary
Ensure records are up to date and maintained according to regulatory guidelines by scanning documents and utilizing timekeeping software to assign staff to correct units. Facilitate staffing huddles with Clinical Administrative Supervisors to plan patient assignments within California staffing guidelines and communicate necessary adjustments to Nurse Leads. Manage daily registry requests, process paperwork, and complete forecasts and staffing projections by 1730 to distribute assignments. Collaborate regularly to ensure staffing consistency across facilities and escalate concerns to management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Associate's degree
- Degree in a related field
- 1 year Experience as a staffing specialist/clerk in an acute hospital setting
- 2 years Experience in related field
- Experience with computerized scheduling and general office procedures
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate ability to utilize effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to problem solve and to work independently
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Must have ability to effectively multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
