Staffing Coordinator and Scheduler

Job Summary
Prepare and maintain nursing department schedules for CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and other staff, coordinating coverage and securing call-in replacements to meet facility, state, and federal requirements. Work closely with nursing leadership to identify staffing needs, gaps, and coverage concerns while answering phones, greeting residents and families, and relaying messages. Provide administrative and clerical support, including processing admissions, transfers, and discharges, and maintain records, reports, and documentation with confidentiality. Requires previous experience scheduling nursing personnel, active CPR certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Full-time role at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with staffing and scheduling nursing personnel, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Current, active CPR certification
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to navigate internet and intranet systems effectively
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership, staff, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented when managing last-minute staffing changes or coverage needs
