Job Summary

Coordinate daily rostering and allocation of staff across hospital and prison-based services, ensuring appropriate skill mix and coverage. Respond to staffing shortfalls by liaising with internal staff and approved agencies to fill vacancies promptly. Maintain up-to-date records of staff availability, including contact details for bank staff and agency personnel. Monitor compliance with mandatory registration and induction requirements for all staff, including those in prison settings. Participate in daily team meetings to contribute to forward planning for staffing needs across all shifts. Generate reports on staffing utilisation and agency use to support data-driven decision-making and workforce planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a staffing or allocations role within a health or related sector
  • Proficiency in rostering software and systems used in 24/7 operational environments
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills with a person-centred and respectful approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in a busy and complex environment
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions
  • Understanding of workforce compliance requirements, including registration and induction processes
  • Influenza and Immunisation Evidence
  • Subject to a Police Check
