Job Summary
Provide specialized urologic care with a focus on testicular and kidney cancers, including complex oncologic and retroperitoneal surgery within a high-volume tertiary referral practice. Lead and develop an independent, externally competitive clinical and translational research program in testicular and kidney cancer, aligned with the associated UBC academic appointment. Engage in teaching and mentoring through UBC's Faculty of Medicine while participating in quality improvement and academic activities. This clinician-scientist role requires a fellowship in urologic oncology and advanced research training in kidney cancer.
Required Qualifications
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
- eligibility for medical licensure in British Columbia
- completion of a fellowship in urologic oncology
- demonstrated expertise in kidney and testicular cancers
- advanced research training (minimum ~2 years) in kidney cancer—such as genomics, metabolomics, or precision oncology
- proven track record, or strong evidence of potential, for peer-reviewed funding, publication, and translational research impact
- ability to work in a collaborative, team-based academic environment
- report immunization history or immunity status for specified communicable diseases
