Staff Therapist - Occupational Therapist

Job Summary
Occupational Therapist collaborates with clients through assessment, intervention, planning and designing of services to meet occupational performance goals, support healthy lifestyles, prevent illness and disability, and promote health. The role emphasizes continuing professional development, research, quality improvement and promotion of occupational therapy, with emphasis on meeting professional standards, licensure requirements, and safety checks. This is a 0.50 FTE term position based in Winnipeg, in-person, with duties that include independent and team-based clinical work within Rehab Services, and adherence to applicable professional and organizational policies. The posting notes required registration with COTM, CPR requirements, and preferred membership with MSOT/CAOT, along with strong communication, collaboration across disciplines, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to diversity and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) in the practicing or provisional register
- Current CPR training per Employer policy
- Membership in Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) preferred
- Experience and skills including: interpersonal relationships, written and verbal communication, teamwork, clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, independent and collaborative work, organizational abilities, and adaptability to new concepts and techniques
- Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector) and other background checks as conditions of employment
