Job Summary
Staff Tech Ops: POPs & Payments Engineer leads cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Technology Operations outcomes. Responsibilities include designing, improving, and executing processes, automations, and technical capabilities across multiple domains; owning and optimizing API integrations; mentoring team members; ensuring readiness for QA/UAT; driving ITIL/SDLC execution; and shaping vendor relationships and roadmaps. Requires expertise in multiple Technology Operations domains (POS, Back Office, Payments, Menu Systems, etc.), scripting in PowerShell and Python, understanding of SDLC/ITIL, and familiarity with AI/ML/RPA concepts. Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and ownership mindset are essential, along with vendor management and service-oriented leadership across distributed teams.
Required Qualifications
- 4 Year Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10 to 12 years of progressive, relevant IT experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and associated software such as Microsoft Office
- ITSM frameworks such as ITIL
- Proficient knowledge of at least two other operating systems such as iOS, Android, Linux
- Experience with building business and technical requirements
- Experience with API integrations
- Experience writing scripting (PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, AI and Robotic Process Automation
- Strong vendor management and commercial negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong project and time management skills
- Customer service orientation and service leadership mindset
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
