Job Summary
Shape the performance and power characteristics of our EagleEye AR wearable product as a Staff Systems Engineer on the Warfighter Systems team, spanning architectural definition through execution with a hybrid hardware-software focus. Lead evaluation and selection of next-generation silicon architectures with IHVs, drive system-level optimizations for power, performance, and latency across the product stack, and optimize battery life and thermal design. Collaborate with Platform Software Engineers to implement rigorous profiling methodologies, define architectural requirements, and deliver high-performing, low-power wearables. Engage cross-functionally to integrate solutions, define specifications, and translate product vision into technical execution. Requires 10+ years in system-level power/performance engineering, deep SoC understanding, Android/Qualcomm experience, kernel/driver expertise, and US security-clearance eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in system-level power and performance engineering with a focus on SoC architectures
- Deep understanding of silicon chip architectures (CPU, GPU, DSP, memory subsystems) and their impact on performance and power
- Proven expertise in SoC performance tuning, optimization techniques, and power management strategies
- Proficiency with industry-standard system profiling tools and methodologies, especially in Android environments and on Qualcomm chipsets
- Strong kernel and driver analysis skills; solid operating system concepts
- Ability to bridge hardware and software engineering disciplines and balance customer needs with technical risks
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Eligibility to receive and maintain a United States security clearance
