Job Summary
As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will provide technical direction and manage requirements within a dynamic team, focusing on the support and operational integration of complex software applications. Key responsibilities include performing requirements management, developing and executing test procedures, collaborating with multi-disciplined teams, and supporting software operations and testing events. Mandatory qualifications include an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, a relevant bachelor's degree, and at least 5 years of experience in software development or systems engineering alongside strong communication skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Relocation assistance is generously offered for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT, or related engineering field
- At least 5 years of professional experience working in software development or systems engineering
- Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team, fast paced environment
- Ability to develop requirements
- Ability to develop test procedures that verify requirements
- Ability to develop tracing between requirements, code, and verification
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Current IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with virtual teams
- Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
- Experience with using automated tests to sell off formal requirement verification
- Experience with government Site Acceptance process and procedures
- Experience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implement
- Experience with SATCOM or GEOINT systems
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
- Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
- Experience with Cameo modeling tools
- Experience developing a software architect using digital tools
- Experience with DOORS or DOOR Next Gen
