Job Summary
Lead the hardware team and coordinate infrastructure elements for the BOA/ESL/ESPN program software-centric systems. Conduct pre-review assessments, guide product implementation, and manage technical planning for design reviews and action items. Collaborate with system administration, network, cybersecurity, and integration teams to ensure robust infrastructure, including site surveys, cable management, and power documentation. Mentor engineering members in architecture and design while demonstrating proficiency in proposal, budget, and scheduling. Lead product deliveries and mature systems architecture content for large program designs within a diverse, interdisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret (or higher) clearance at the time of application and required to start
- Background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience
- Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related experience
- PhD with 8 years of related experience
- Proven experience applying engineering and design practices to software architectures, software environments, or agile software frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of presenting technical concepts to senior management, cross-functional teams, and customer communities
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Network Engineering: Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Experience with Cisco and Fortinet
- System Administration: Experienced Linux (Red Hat), VMWare, RSA multifactor authentication, Splunk, ELK, IPA, Ansible and NetApp storage
- Interface Documentation: Expertise documenting complex system interactions via Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS), and Interface Description Documents (IDD)
- Domain Knowledge: Applied knowledge of Next-Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared Radar (NG-OPIR) or similar space/ground segment defense systems
- Control Account Management (CAM): Responsible for planning, executing, and controlling the work and budget within a defined segment of a project
